welcome to 2026 and other news from darkstar home bakery

well everybody, I'm a little late but welcome to 2026 and I hope all of you out there have had a great new year and for me at the bakery we are pushing forward into our second year of being open and offering Artisan bread, cookies, and pastries. I'm not sure if I have introduced myself to the readers here, my name is James Peters and I am the owner, only employee and I am the baker, delivery driver, and much more here at Darkstar Home Bakery.
If you have been to my website, you may have noticed that this bakery is a 'cottage food home bakery', which means that all of the products are prepared here at home, in a sanitary kitchen. There are no retail sales, my products can either be purchased online or at my weekly bake sale.
Some new news from Darkstar is below:
I am now using a 'better chip' in my chocolate chip cookies.
My Peanut Butter cookies now only have peanut butter and no oats or dates.
I have made an order for whole wheat spelt flour and now that type of bread can
now be requested.
My regular whole wheat flour is now 'Organic'.
My pastry flour and regular bread flour are now 'Organic' and I truly believe that you
get what you pay for. These two types of flour I am ordering from
a company called Central Milling and they produce a wide range of different flours for industry and home bakers.
Well, I know this blog is a little late but I will try to follow up in a month with another.
